Her greatest roles are as wife, mother, and survivor of both heart attacks and a stroke. More than 25 cardiologists worldwide conferred after Kellie’s first heart attack. Her healthy diet philosophy is that there is no one-size fits all diet, but there are changes everyone can make in order to improve their health. Because of bio-individuality (each one of us is different), most diets will work for some people and not for others so it’s important to understand your own body and it’s needs in order to attain optimal health. How the body is using the food as well as understanding what is happening in the bigger context of our lives is critical for health. Kellie believe we need to eat nutrient dense, whole foods that have been properly prepared – real food, as close to the form it was originally grown/raised in, prepared in a way that preserves or even enhances the nutritional value of the food. Kellie received her Bachelors of Arts from Willamette University in Speech Communication and a Bachelor of Science from Kaplan University in Nutrition, Health & Wellness. She has a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Certificate from Nutritional Therapy Association.
As a State Ambassador for the American Heart Association and Mended Hearts Visitor, Kellie continues to devote her life and work to helping others find their healthiest diet too.
